1. Will this work in the oven and hold crappie fillets securely for flipping?
Please remove the handle if you want to put it in the oven. The dimensions of the grilling surface: 16.92*10.23*1.46 in and the size of the grid is 0.7*0.7in, it can be flipped if the food is bigger than the grid.
2. Is the basket large?
17 x 10.2 x 1.4inch. Reasonable large. Good choice for BBQ'ing shrimp, mushroom, or the likes.
3. What is the size? Is it big enough for 4 people?

This tool is great for cooking on the grill, except for soft meats that tend to stick to the wire (hamburger). It's great for fish, boneless chicken, pork chops, vegies, shrimp, etc. A real time saver. Just make sure that you spray the grate well before loading it up -- cleaning will be a lot easier.

Definitely purchase this LARGER size for grilling Salmon! Originally purchased smaller size and realized it was less than 0.8" thick. Needed this Larger one to allow for Thicker Salmon on grille. Worked Great! Fairly easy cleaning as well.
